How do I get rid of messenger altogether - it's a mess to deal with and freezes continually - who needs it?

I can't get an answer from Yahoo on how to disconnect Messenger. It's causing all kinds of problems with other programs. Microsift tells me Yahoo has a fix, but Yahoo either doesn't know about it or won't tell me. The guys in India have no idea what I'm talking about.

How do I get rid of messenger altogether - it's a mess to deal with and freezes continually - who needs it?

Reply:His instructions are correct. That is the way to remove any unwanted program. Be sure you selected all the Yahoo messenger programs.. there are more than one listed in my add/remove window. You need to remove anything that starts with Yahoo to get it all removed. Report Abuse

Also you can download an older version of Yahoo! Messenger and see if it works: http://www.oldapps.com/yahoo_messenger.h...

Or to uninstall:

%26gt; Click Start

%26gt; Click Control Panel

%26gt; Click on Add/Remove Programs

%26gt; Look for Yahoo! Messenger and click on Chage/Remove

%26gt; Follow easy screen steps :)
