How can I delete my username from my Mac Version Yahoo Messenger?

I want to delete my ID from the drop down box in the sing in window of my Mac version Yahoo Messenger, please HELP!

Make note of your connection setting (Yahoo Messenger %26gt; Preferences %26gt; Connection)


Quit your messenger


find com.yahoo.messenger3.plist (spotlight or finder)


Delete the file, unless you have installed Developer Tools and want to edit it manually.


Restart your messenger


Make sure your connection setting is back to where it was.





If you want, you can also go back and delete your user .plist file (com.yahoo.messenger3.users.[y... screen name].plist . In that file, someone who was curious couldn't see your password, but they could see some other information like your block list and other stuff.
Reply:Hi there...generally the easiest way to do this is to uninstall/delete the Yahoo Messenger application and reinstall it. Search for all the associated files through Spotlight (blue circle in far upper right corner of screen) to locate all the files.
