How do I turn off a yahoo mail alert coming to Yahoo Messenger?

That is, I do not want to be alerted via Yahoo Messenger that I've received new Yahoo mail.The answers point me to the Yahoo profile but I cannot fine my Yahoo Mail Profile.

then alerts and sounds


uncheck play a sound

Reply:On your messenger list box


hit ( Messenger ) at the top.


inside hit ( privacy options )


you will see ( Alerts ) near


the top of the list.


Make your changes there.

Reply:on the bottom left corner of the screen, you know where the little icons are at, right click on the messenger smily face, and click on sign out. that's what i do
