How do I keep Messenger from popping up every time that I restart my computer?

My husband gets mad at me %26amp; deletes Messenger after a few times of it popping up. How can I stop it from popping up every time that we restart the computer?....It really slows down the restarting process!!

How do I keep Messenger from popping up every time that I restart my computer?
With Messenger open, click on "Messenger.


1. Click on "Preferences."


2. Click on "Alerts %26amp; Sounds."


3. Uncheck the box next to "Enable Alerts %26amp; Sounds."


In fact, uncheck all of the boxes in this category.


4. Click OK to save and close your preferences.

Or just use tune up start up manager.
