what you can do is make sure that you have the IM downloaded. i am using a Mac right now and i had to download the Yahoo! IM in order to use it. you will have to open it and click on the icon that has a camera on it.

We've had all kinds of problems with cameras and messaging software on a Mac. The only thing that works reliably (for video) is Skype.
