How can I assign a new Yahoo mail address to an existing Yahoo messenger ID?

I already have a YM ID that I've been using for years and all my contacts are there. Now I want to assign an email account to that ID but I don't know how. I want to be able to check for my new messages when I sign in to YM but the email assigned uses the YM ID as the email ID, not the email account I've been using.

Add An Email Address For The All New Mail





if you are signed in that email account now


click here

If You Are Using The All New MAIL





if you want to add an email address for another email account you have


sign in that email account


then on the top right side of mail page


click options


then mail options


then click accounts


then click add or edit an account


at the bottom of the page


in the extra email address section, click get started


either type whatever new address you鈥檇 like or use a suggestion on the right.





If You Are Using Classic Email





if you are signed in that email account now


click here

Reply:Try going to yahoo mail and sign in with the screen name and password that you have for the new ID.





What I did after I got my new ID was to have my other e mail accounts forwarded to my yahoo e mail. You need to go to the mail you want to forward and go to options.





Then read and it will tell you what to do.
