In Messenger's menu bar at the top, click on Messenger, and select Preferences from the drop-down menu. Uncheck the top item in the Preferences menu, where it says to automatically open Messenger on Start-Up.
How can I turn off Yahoo Messenger automatic sign on when I turn on d computer?
With the Messenger window open, look at top bar in the Messenger Menu. Select the first tab "Messenger", on the sub menu select "Preferences", the pop up window is "General" , the very first box (When I start up my computer" needs to be unchecked (take the x out of the box). This will stop it from automatically signing on.
