How secure is the messenger and email? I was wondering if someone could get into my messenger or email by the ?

administrator or any other way without my password. I have heard the people can get in if you are on a shared computer is this true? thank you

yeah they can. just sign off every time and make sure there not using parental Controls.
Reply:If you have a shared computer, you can go into Control Panel, User Accounts, and under your account check off to make your files private. That would offer security against people without moderate to extensive knowledge of computers. If they are on your user account then yes they can easily get access to everything. By default however, administrator is disabled in Windows XP Home, and other Home editions of windows. XP Professional however, if no admin password was defined at install, easy.





I once had a computer crash and needed to replace some files on the drive to reboot it. I stuck it on a work computer, simply went into properties and took ownership of the files...took me about 5 minutes to get into everything, never leave passwords or secure info on your computer unless it's in an encrypted section.
Reply:Yes this is true. If you leave your password and messenger up on your computer then other people will be able to get into your e-mail. I would suggest deleting your internet history before you get off so this does not happen. Also you can remove your password from your messenger when you get on it and type every in everytime...That why I use my own computer...
