iv downloaded it from 3 different sites and had the same problem. Im not sure whats going on with my computer to be making it do this.
Why whenever i intall my yahoo messenger does it crash and not even open? ?
You need to make sure you have the latest Macromedia Flash Player installed. If you don't have the flash player installed messenger will not open and crash before you are able to sign in.

Reply:It all depends on what version you're trying to download. If its version 9, I'm not really all that surprised. I had issues with it when I tried the BETA.
It also could very well be your internet connection causing a glitch in the download, especially if you have a wireless signal.
I would completely remove Yahoo! IM from your computer (go into your C drive, hunt down the Yahoo! folder and delete it. It tends to remain even after the messenger has been uninstalled), make sure you have a solid connection and redownload it.
